"Getting a cardioligist appointment"

How bad is the ACT medical system? I have been waiting months and months to be notified of when I will see a cardiologist. I have called several times with no success and promises to call me back are broken. I was contacted a number of weeks ago as they had a cancellation. I missed the call and as instructed called back within five minutes of missing the call, only to be told the appointment was given to someone else.

I also now realise the appointment was for a stress test; then I would wait again for an appointment to see a cardiologist.

I get regular angina attacks and it is very scary not knowing what is causing it. The system will and probably already is costing lives. Less money on useless trams and more on hospitals would be a good idea.
