(as the patient),

I had a procedure recently and right from the start I was treated kindly and with respect by all the staff. Helen, one of the nurses, made me feel safe and comfortable my whole stay. The anaesthesiologist came and spoke to me with regard to my concerns about not being able to breathe last time I came around in the recovery ward at Wollongong Hospital; it was terrifying, to say the least. She listened to me and I did not have the same scary reaction in recovery this time.

The theatre staff were comforting and reassuring to me, as was the anaesthesiologist and the doctor.

Thank you for making an anxious time much more bearable
