My child was taken by ambulance to Frankston ER with a severe debilitating headache, the Emergency admission was prompt and efficient, the ambulance personnel stayed with us until a room was found, the room was quiet and dark.
Our nurse Vera was amazing! Very kind and considerate , she worked constantly and effectively. I was there with my child all night until midday the next day. On the change over our next nurse Sam was also good and very efficient.
It was 5 hours until we actually saw a doctor, however Vera was able to make my child comfortable ( it did take 3 hours for the pain to move from severe to manageable) and administer I am assuming what the registrar suggested.
Doctor Laura viewed my child and set about a series of tests, we didn't see doctor Laura again, the doctor at change over was again an amazing help asking for more tests.
Midday the next day my child was released from hospital, their results had been passed to Royal Prince Alfred for advice. The hospital called me the next day and asked for another test to be done. I was very impressed with the care and follow up.
All the staff in the Emergency room should be proud of the way their section is run (from a patients point of view)
