I recently had surgery and needed to stay overnight on the general ward. I felt extremely well cared for and safe throughout my stay. The day surgery and theatre staff were friendly, welcoming and calming before and after my surgery. A special shout-out to my anaesthetist who gave me one of the greatest sleeps I've ever had! The recovery staff ensured my pain was under control before transferring me. The ward nurses were also very caring and friendly, nothing was too much to ask for. All of the staff were very professional and it was great to see nursing students receiving quality training from the nursing staff. I have also received great follow up care from the physio department and dressing clinic nurses. From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank the following people for the fantastic holistic care they gave during my experience: theatre and day surgery nurses, ward nurses (and student), specialist center nurses, wound clinic nurses, the anaesthetist, the surgeon, physios, ward clerks from all departments, pharmacy, orderleys, kitchen staff and cleaners.
