"Angliss Hospital Obstetric Care"

Recently we had our third beautiful little baby via c/section at the Angliss Hospital in Ferntree Gully and I can not speak more highly of the care I received both during my stay and throughout my pregnancy. 

During my pregnancy I chose the midwife care pathway as I have been very happy  with this option for my other two children. The nurses are caring and patient, always taking the time to explain every new step. During the pregnancy I was immediacy identified as a red pathway and all subsequent visits were with a consultant Dr Chris. For this I am very grateful. Dr Chris was amazing. Dr Chris was professional and informative, coupled with a kind and caring bedside manner. He genuinely cares for each and every patient and continuously goes above and beyond. This was the case when I became very ill at 28 weeks. I had previously been discharged from ED, but on my following consultant appointment Dr Chris was concerned for my lack of improvement. He literally marched myself and my two other children who were with me on the day, by the hand, back over to the ward. Once there a lovely staff member Katie from the pharmacy department went above and beyond to help me source an out stock medication that was critical for my recovery. 

The big day came along and the care I received was exceptional. I had a planned C section (my third) and was very nervous for the day ahead. I rolled into surgery in tears of anxiety and I cannot thank the surgery team enough for the care and compassion they showed to me. Jessica, Gordana, Viv, Abi, and my midwife Casey were all brilliant. They all continued to inform me every step of the way helping me to stay calm and truly enjoy what is such a special moment. 

Once on the the ward, during my stay I found all the midwifes to be so lovely and never took it for granted that I just knew what I was doing.

Overall I was so impressed with the care I received from every encounter and highly recommend both the Angliss Hospital and the midwife program.
