"Telehealth appointment in Geraldton Hospital"

Recently I had attended a Telehealth appointment at the Geraldton Hospital. I had previous follow up appointments arranged in person. At the time I had to travel to Perth using regional travel assistance, leaving my sick child behind with a care taker and stressing through the journey about the outcome of the appointment. With the Telehealth service I did not have to  experience these issues. I simply approached the coordinator Sunjay and asked to forward my clinical request to the treating hospital. Within minutes, I was courteously contacted by staff and an appointment was arranged at the earliest possible date. Everything including appointment advise, nursing staff for my dressing and the care provided, the room were top class.  The location of the room at the front provided easy access and convenience for me.  In the past, I had contacted Geraldton Telehealth to change my child’s appointment to Telehealth. As I had then moved and lived in Geraldton for a short span, I did not know where I needed to go. But Sunjay arranged a meet and greet to assisted myself all the way to the department. He has been compassionate in his dealings right from the time I contacted the department. I have been to multiple specialties across regional hospitals and in the city and I would say the Geraldton Telehealth service is an extremely efficient service  and is an example of how a care centred around patients should be provided.

I would recommend Telehealth service to anybody who is inconvenienced by the distance, family commitments, expense, etc. and encourage them to contact the the Telehealth department.
