"Same Day Surgery."

Recently I had the privilege, yes the privilege, to be a Same Day surgery patient. As an older lady and in reasonably good health, a recent couple of weeks of spotting saw me attend my local GP who after seeing the stained undies referred me to the Health Service on an urgent basis. 

Within days I received a call that an appointment had been set up and I attended Armadale Hospital. The gynaecologist examined me and referred me to the Day Surgery for an "exploratory". I met with the anaesthetist and nurse and the day was set. 

The courtesy and professionalism each staff member showed me gave assurance that made me realise I was in very safe hands. From the time I was initially seen by the referring doctor to the nurse discharging me, I was in very safe, caring hands. Although exploratory, I had the confidence that your staff were on the job totally and my welfare was of prime importance.

Please give my thanks to your staff I really appreciated their professionalism, care and assurance. Each team member new exactly what  procedure I was going to have and made every effort to comfort me to allay any fears I may have had. I cannot recommend this unit as a whole, more and hope that the staff are conveyed my thanks for a job well done. Thank you again.
