I have recently received treatment for cancer at the Midwest Cancer Centre and have found all the staff excellent. From the initial diagnosis which was a shock to chemotherapy and outpatient appointments. The team is very professional and caring as well as knowledgeable. From the friendly reception staff to the McGragh Nurses, Rachael and Zena, Dr Andrew who is so easy to talk to and knowledgeable, the amazing chemo centre manager Linda who goes above and beyond to make all the patients and visitors feel welcome no matter how incredibly busy she is. All the nurses were great and the pharmacist was very helpful in explaining things to me regarding medications and side effects. I feel very grateful that I was able to get treatment locally.

I am so pleased to read that your experience with the Midwest Cancer Centre has been such a positive one, it’s very reassuring to hear that we have a great team in place helping people through what can be a very difficult and stressful time for both yourself and your family. The team at the Midwest Cancer Centre provide such a valuable service to our community by providing support throughout your entire cancer journey through diagnosis, treatment and beyond and as with your situation, allowing people to remain close to home, family and friends during treatment. They provide that vital link between you as the patient, your specialist and all the other health care teams involved in your care to get the most appropriate treatments and services and best outcomes for your situation.

I will ensure to pass your lovely compliment on to our team at the Midwest Cancer Centre, with a special mention to Rachel, Zeina, Linda, Dr Andrew and our pharmacy team, I know they will appreciate the recognition that they are getting it right and really making a difference.
