It would be lovely if the staff at reception were more welcoming with a smile on their faces, wouldn't it?

I personally think that a smile really makes a difference even if you are saying no to someone for something. I am pregnant and have been visiting Armadale Public Hospital for my antenatal visits and I feel really awkward when staff at reception give me a straight look with no welcoming smile or words!

It would be wonderful if staff were more friendly and happy to see people visiting the clinic.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Armadale Hospital’s Antenatal Clinic.

I am very sorry to hear that you felt less than welcomed by our reception staff during your recent antenatal appointments.

Our hospital is committed to improve the patient experience through how we communicate with our consumers and your feedback has been really valuable.

Following on from your comments, I have reminded our clerical team of how important it is to leave a positive first impression to all patients and visitors by ensuring everyone is greeted in a friendly and respectful manner.

You may be interested to know that we will soon be implementing an initiative called Walk a Day in My Shoes to encourage our staff to step into the shoes of our patients, their relatives or carers, so that we might better understand and address some of the barriers and challenges they experience. This is just another way we want to provide better care through excellent customer service.
