"Nurse Manager in Breast Cancer Unit is my lifeline"

I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Since my first contact with RBWH, Nurse Manager Alison has been extraordinarily professional, empathetic and responsive to my needs. She inspires confidence in me. She is worth her weight in gold. She calls me back, gives me the information I need, with clear explanations and suggestions. She never rushes me and never makes me feel I'm taking too much of her time. Clearly her patients are not just numbers to her. She really cares. This process is overwhelming and often confusing and Alison helps me to make sense of it all. With her as my case manager, I believe I'll get through this enormous challenge.
