Last year as I broke my ankle and I spent four weeks in Box Hill Hospital. I had two operations on my foot and that was not pleasant. This was one of my most difficult and painful times, even though I had previously experienced many significant health issues. Somehow I pulled through and found myself in rehab for two weeks learning to slowly walk. I know that it's a long journey to recover especially for man of my age.
Because of my foot surgery and rehabilitation, I delayed having treatment for my most recent cancer. I had surgery to alleviate some of my symptoms just before Christmas 2017. My specialist, Dr Allan gave me the confidence to have the surgery even though I was afraid I would not be home for Christmas. Dr Allan had me home by Christmas Eve and I was celebrating with my family within days of the surgery.
I am so grateful for the treatment and support I have received. I wanted to let everyone know about how grateful I am. I thank Dr Allan and all the staff at Epworth Eastern and Box Hill Hospital.
"I am in your hands and I trust you."
