(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

My husband arrived on a racing bike suffering from, or rather experiencing, chest pain - an unusual feeling. He had no phone on board, so he did the distance! Excellent services all-round. The doctor was extremely busy as another more urgent recipient arrived, however, they fully explained this to my husband. Total reassurance, care & respect administered to my husband whilst he was resting. All tests possible done. Staff very kind and reassuring. My husband was discharged late in the afternoon with adequate medication and a follow-up appointment with a GP 'immediately' with a stress test following and booked for not long afterward. Respect and total care. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback about the Wonthaggi Emergency Department. It has been extremely busy in the ED over the past weeks (as is usually the case with our summer influx), and whilst we have put on extra nurses and doctors, we unfortunately run out of space in peak periods, which causes some delay. Thank your husband for being so understanding and I am really pleased that the communication from our staff, and his experience was so positive. I will make sure the staff receive your feedback and I know they will be appreciative. I hope your husband is doing well still - tell him to pack his mobile with him on his rides from now on!:)
