"With enormous gratitude."

About: Manly Hospital Royal North Shore Hospital

(as the patient),

In the last couple of months I have had two visits to public hospitals and would like to express my thanks to the appropriate people concerned if at all possible.

Around Xmas I ended up at Manly Hospital  after experiencing stroke like symptoms.  But after a few days, significant tests and time from hospital staff they identified a type of temporary global amnesia.  The care I received was comprehensive and all the staff were kind and forever patient while working under rather trying circumstances.

A number of days later I ended up in the Royal North Shore with a vision problem.  I should perhaps mention here that I am quite elderly and my daughter accompanied me.  We were there till about 6pm and my treatment was supervised by the intern ophthalmologist. I could totally understand why it all took rather a long time.  There were so many people and I’m sure they were all given the same, wonderful treatment that I was. So would like to thank all the wonderful people that were involved and the system, in what could have been a very stressful situations.

The following response has been published on behalf of Northern Sydney Local Health District by Patient Opinion Australia.

Dear Muzz,

Thank you for the lovely review that you have provided to Patient Opinion Australia in regards to your care and treatment, as provided by both Manly and Royal North Shore Hospitals.

We are indeed very fortunate to have such caring and dedicated doctors, nurses and support staff, however these staff are not always recognised for the great work they do. I know that everyone involved in your treatment from both facilities will appreciate the acknowledgement you have given them.

I will be sure to pass your message on to Ms Deborah Willcox, the Chief Executive of Northern Sydney Local Health District, as well as the staff involved in your care.

Kind Regards,

Adam Zulic

Executive Administration Support Officer | Northern Sydney Local Health District
