About: Royal Perth Hospital

(as the patient),

I have received chemo at RPH (Royal Perth Hospital) and wish to thank the team and Dr Albert for their care. I wish to send special thanks to Jen, the Nurse Practitioner who I met at my last appointment. At the time it was a low point in chemo, I had felt so unwell and had a short stay in RPH ED - thanks  team you were great. The ED was so busy and I felt for staff given the complex drug and alcohol issues they were dealing with. They were so polite and respectful with everyone and I left feeling so much better after treatment.

Following this visit I was dreading the thought of more chemo. When I met Jen I explained just how awful the side effects of the last chemo had been and how I was worried about lots of attempts to cannulate, managing side effects at home, when to worry and how I would cope with side effects, full time work and chemo.

Jen listened and talked through everything - prescribed prophylactic medication and cannulated me first time. She was kind, knowledgeable, respectful and practical. I left feeling I could keep going. Thank you Jen.

I had one issue with after hours contact number for MDU which I fed back to Jen

Thanks RPH -I am very grateful.

Dear So well cared for,

Thank you for taking the time to share with us your recent experience at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH). It is always a pleasure to hear of the good experiences people have at RPH, especially when we know it is often a time of anxiety, emotional distress and ill health.

I will be sharing your feedback with the Oncology Department as well as with the broader hospital at one of our regular staff forums so that we can continue to improve on the fabulous service you received.

Thank you once again and I hope you are recovering well.

Dr Aresh Anwar

Executive Director

Royal Perth Bentley Group
