I recently attended the Emergency Dept. at Box Hill Hospital with a broken wrist. I was seen by the triage nurse very quickly perhaps due to the fact that my wrist was sticking out at an odd angle. I was taken immediately for X-rays where it was discovered my wrist was in a few pieces at the distal radius. After the X-ray, I was given painkillers and was seen by Dr. Jae who after much struggle put my wrist back together and then put a cast on my wrist. He made an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon for the next day to determine how much surgery I would need.
The whole narrative above was just background to the fact that at all times I was treated with care, concern and great professionalism by all the staff who attended to me. In particular I have to express my gratitude to Dr. Jae and his assistants, for the skill in which he set my wrist prior to casting. The setting of my wrist was done so well that after two visits to an orthopaedic surgeon over 7 days, there was no requirement for any surgery. I am truly grateful for such a professional job done by Dr. Jae and his staff.
