"Fantastic care"

(as the patient),

I would like to thank all the amazing nurses on ward 3 East at Maroondah Hospital.  I had  surgery and a stay over the a long weekend and days after. The care the nurses provided  was outstanding - always there for me.   The surgical doctor and team were great too - kept me in the loop and up to date with what was happening. The surgeon and surgery staff who did my surgery were amazing, they were kind and gentle, explaining everything. The only issue I had was with one registrar surgeon who I felt was really rude and disrespectful, did not listen to me as the patient. But the rest of the care I received was outstanding, and I really appreciate the care and support that I got with the rest of the staff.

Thank you so much for your comments on your largely positive experience at Maroondah Hospital. I was so pleased to read the staff were kind, gentle, kept you informed of what was planned and made sure things were explained to you. I would like to apologise for the one doctor who was rude and didn't treat you with respect.

It will give me great pleasure to provide your feedback to the nursing and medical staff in Ward 3 East at Maroondah Hospital. Receiving feedback regarding experiences is so important so we can recognize the wonderful care and service our staff provide and also any opportunities to improve.
