"Patient care"

About: Royal Perth Hospital

(as a relative),

I was sitting in the waiting room and saw my wife's bell came on. I went and asked her what she needed, if I could help, but she needed a nurse. I left and sat back in waiting room where I noticed after 30 mins and at least 15 nurses - some twice, go past her door and not one looked in on her. I find this dangerous and mean, letting the patient feel more discomfort than she deserves.

Dear Unattended to,

Thank you for sharing your recent experience at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH). I would like to unreservedly apologise for what appears to be a level of service below what we like to provide here at RPH.

From your post, it appears that your wife is still in RPH and I would like to ask you to contact my office directly on 9224 2219 so that we can address your concerns.

Once again I sincerely apologise for your experience and thank you for giving us the opportunity to rectify this situation.

Dr Aresh Anwar

Executive Director
