"Paediatric team at Redcliffe Hospital"

We had a good experience with the Redcliffe Paediatric team, both nursing and paediatricians. However, our experience was not as positive with one particular doctor. And while I hate to write this I think feedback can help if taken on board in the right way. 

Unfortunately, they were rude and abrupt and at times condescending. They formed an opinion in a few minutes and disregarded all the previous specialists who our child had seen in the 6 months prior and know them best. Not only did this doctor dispute their clinical opinion, they did so without having previously seen our child and therefore had no baseline to say that our child never had the conditions they were diagnosed with, and without reviewing clinic notes or letter/reports. Two full teams at other hospitals and privately have confirmed/diagnosed our child and it is disrespectful of this doctor to discount all they have seen and done with our child. In addition, It would be helpful if they asked parent opinion and truly listened. This doctor said our child was meeting some gross motor developmental milestones despite them not displaying them in-clinic and never at home, nor in therapy or when seen by our other paediatrician, which I found upsetting.

While I am aware this doctor is very experienced because of the length of time they have been practising, a quick google returns many negative reviews by other parents as well and I am sure, should they take the time to fluff up their demeanour and truly listen, they could be great.
