"Orthopaedic service"

About: Derby Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

We were facing a long trip to Perth to get my child's wires removed from their radius post a broken arm. We were able to see the visiting orthopedic team who performed the surgery and my child was able to be out of plaster 2 weeks earlier than anticipated.

All the staff were wonderful throughout the whole experience.

Dear Very convenient,

Thank you so much for sharing your child's story with us. I hope their arm is healed and they feel much better.

The visiting Orthopaedic team was able to see several patients locally during early February, and these patients avoided a trip to Perth. It is very important to keep care close to home, when safe to do so, and I am pleased we could offer this service to your child.

I will pass on your compliment to the Orthopaedic Surgeon and Derby Hospital staff - it was great to hear about the care provided during your child's stay.

Kind regards,

Rachele Humbert

Operations Manager, Derby Hospital.
