"Lack of information impacting access to care"

About: Pilbara Health

(as the patient),

I live in Karratha WA, previously in Perth I was seeing a psychiatrist for my ADHD. Since moving to Karratha I have not been able to find any information on what psychiatric services are available and how to access them. It is really frustrating as I shouldn't have to fork out $100 for a GP appointment to find this information out. There needs to be clear, readily available information detailing what services are available in what location, their basis (local, visiting, etc.) and average waiting times.

Thanks for taking the time to get in contact and share your post on Patient Opinion. We really do appreciate feedback on ways that we can improve our services. I wish you all the best and I hope your GP was able to provide the Psychiatrists’ contact information that you were looking for.

Kind regards,

Penny
