I was diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst on the rear of my brain a couple of years ago by the Neurology Department through an MRI looking for a cause of severe back pain. I was told that this would not be operated on due to it's location and the risks involved, which I accept and was informed that the cyst would be monitored on an annual basis by an MRI and follow appointments.
Early 2017 I was discharged by the Neurology Department to the Neurogenetics Department, despite my objection due to fact that I had no further contact with Neurogenetics. A couple of months after this I requested a new appointment with Neurology through my GP.
I finally received an appointment in late 2017 for March 2018, only to have this appointment cancelled - only 6 days prior to the actual day. At this time I was informed that my care would be carried out by the Pain Clinic who I again have no further contact. This left me feeling disgusted and worthless, as it seems Neurology can't spare 20 minutes a year for my care.
