Recently I attended the ED at Sydney Sydney Eye Hospital with my child who had a sporting injury. I was so impressed with how we were treated and the compassion showed to my child who was obviously upset about their injury. What stood out to me was the way the team interacted with each other and how calm and considerate they were to each other. It was lovely to see the triage nurse interacting with every patient in a personable way, you were definitely made to feel safe..
On another note a recent visit to the hand clinic proved to be just as positive. For such a busy service in high demand everything just flowed and you could see how patients were moved through the service to receive everything they needed.
A big thank you to Sarah in hand therapy for her very personable approach and for making my child feel at ease with the whole thing .
