"Emergency Care"

About: Ipswich Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

We took our child to the Emergency Department for what we thought was whooping cough or a bad respiratory tract infection, however, it turns out our little newborn was in SVT (supraventricular tachycardia). Once it was identified it was straight into the resuscitation ward. My husband and I were extremely overwhelmed and scared, however, the nurses and the doctors in the department explained everything to us whilst they were treating our little baby. The care they provided was outstanding and filled us with confidence.
