"Poor communication"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital

(as the patient),

I had a phone appointment with mesh clinic, rang to inquire that morning about the time, etc., only to be told you’re appointment is here in clinic. I had a letter in my hand clearly stating I had a phone appointment. I am aware of many ladies not getting proper or any communication re. they’re appointments & missing them & the staff then telling other patients that ladies do not bother to show up. That is so wrong!

Dear About my appointment,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I am sorry that you have had this experience with our Mesh Clinic.

I have spoken to the Co-Directors responsible for the service who have indicated that we have had appointment processing issues which has resulted in confusion with some appointments to this clinic. This is clearly not acceptable and I apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you personally.

We are rectifying the problems identified so that these issues do not continue.

Once again thank you for raising this matter and I trust that your experience with our Mesh Clinic will be more positive in the future.

Kind Regards,

Graeme.
