"Gympie Women’s Health Centre"

Following a traumatic highly stressful year, I went to the centre for counselling sessions initially, and attending various other services provided during a calendar month - such as Chillax, Art Therapy, managing emotions workshops, morning tea celebrating international women’s day. Gympie is so fortunate that this service is available for all women’s emotional and health issues. I have attended counselling sessions since late 2016. This has been invaluable to my emotional health turmoil, as without it I don’t know where I’d be. I have developed a rapport with Kim over time and feel comfortable discussing any of my concerns and issues. She has taught me strategies, techniques, ways of coping with my pain and anger. I’ve found her to be an active listener. I have used the service in the past, starting in 2009. All the staff have been trained to put us at ease and always made to feel welcome and important and our opinions matter to them. I can’t praise the centre high enough, they have helped me so much, particularly over the last 17 months. I find the centre to be a safe place to be.
