My daughter was extremely unwell and vomiting for over a week. We came to the hospital and presented to the Emergency Department. We were welcomed and put at ease whilst our daughter was assessed. The team were kind, understanding and comforting. My daughter was admitted to hospital and given an IV drip and we were 'quarantined' as the staff were waiting for tests and her condition was potentially contagious. We stayed in the hospital overnight and were treated with respect and kindness. My daughter began to recover after a few hours of an IV drip and the food was fantastic, fresh and varied. I felt like not only her needs were met, but as her mother (who slept at the hospital) I was well informed of my daughter's progress at all times. The doctors and nurses had great knowledge, a friendly informative manner and a great sense of humour. I was very thankful and impressed as I know this type of workplace culture comes from the leaders and is passed on to staff, so whoever that may be deserves an enormous 'thank you', from our family.
