I have visited the Pathwest Collection Centre in Broome 3 separate times at 2.15pm after I finish work to try and pay an invoice and they have not been open. I understand there is another branch at the hospital, but who wants to deal with the parking there! I also understand that your staff may be ill or on holidays but surely there could be some sort of notification on your door that makes this clear for clients so they don’t bother to keep trying to attend to pay their invoices or have tests done.

Dear hydrusqp87,

I apologise for you having experienced such inconvenience as a result of our collection centre not being attended during our advertised opening hours.

It appears on the day you attended our collection staff had a personal appointment and needed to close early, however, this should have been communicated much better and a notice placed on the door as you have suggested.

This has been raised with the manager at our Broome Laboratory who will ensure this happens should a similar situation occur in future.

I would also like to let you know that we do have an online payment option available for credit card payments and the link to this can be found at our website: www.pathwest.wa.gov.au
