(as the patient),

I saw a doctor in acute pain for treatment of CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) - in my opinion, only to be treated coldly, dispassionately and with complete disregard. I believe that medical notes held by the hospital about me were ignored as the doctor put me back on medication I had tried before and hadn't worked. 

I left in greater pain and distress than when I arrived! I feel that at no time did the doctor listen to me or take an interest in resolving my CRPS. 

I want to see another doctor next appointment as this doctor has previously put me on medication that resulted in me being admitted to the hospital for further pain relief the next day! 

I am disgusted with my treatment from this doctor!

I’m sorry to hear of your experience at the pain clinic. Communication and empathy are two very important aspects of providing good patient care and I am saddened to hear that you didn’t feel listened to, or supported. I empathise with the ongoing distress and interruption to your daily life that you must experience. It is difficult for me to comment here on exactly what assessment was undertaken and treatment offered, or why the doctor thought that this was the best treatment plan. Due to the complex nature of CRPS, these types of cases are seen by our most senior doctors and multidisciplinary teams, but it can still take some time to find the right treatment for each individual case. I hope that with continued treatment we can work towards a solution for you.
