Never experienced such a horrible way of being spoken to!
I visited a relative recently in the ICU department of Austin Hospital.
On arrival, I pressed to be buzzed in and was told to wait 15 minutes in the waiting room, and then would be buzzed in. 15 minutes later I buzzed and a staff member came out, I feel, abusing me for asking if I could see my relative, as now it was the patient rest period. I understand these times, although why was I told to wait 15 minutes for no reason? And the way they abused me was horrendous in my opinion!
This was my first time visiting Austin Hospital and my last!
I have never been spoken to this way and I definitely will be avoiding this hospital at all costs!
Having, I believe, rude staff that abuse relatives is not the way to treat someone when a loved one is unwell!
