I sustained a fairly severe injury to my right hand pinkie finger early last year, playing basketball, and foolishly waited several months before seeking assistance. I was fortunately referred to Sydney Hospital Hand Clinic by my GP in October last year.
Between October 2017 and May 2018, I attended the hand clinic countless times, often on a weekly basis. It would be an understatement to say the level of service from every contact point was fantastic. Making appointments and checking in was always easy and painless, the text msg. appointment reminders were great, and I found the clinic to generally operate in a polite and punctual manner throughout my entire time visiting the clinic. Additionally, my therapist, Melanie was absolutely outstanding. Melanie was always professional, and personable, and continually demonstrated excellent subject matter expertise, exceptional communication skills and compassion.
Thankfully my finger has healed far better than I’d originally hoped for, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the service I received from the Sydney Hospital Hand Clinic and Melanie. I hope I never have a hand injury again, but if I do, I’ll know I’m in good hands here. :-)
