"Podiatry"

I didn't want to go. But I finally relented and went. I was so surprised and pleasantly so, by the interest and patience and knowledge of the podiatrist. I learnt that by some simple techniques I can avoid problems later on. She listened to my concerns; hardly anyone listens these days. She had a good sense of humour. I know I thought feet were not that important, but I realise how important they are. The quality of the skin, the way I wear shoes, the flexibility of my feet. I felt better when I stood up. My feet felt better.
