This is regarding a formal complaint against one of the clinical nurses, employed at Royal Perth Hospital. I am writing to express my discomfort and concern about said nurse and I figured it would be appropriate to seek help to resolve this issue. I hope in doing so this matter can be dealt with quickly, I am so offended and concerned about the events that recently took place. I took my son, who had a broken jaw, to the hospital. I suggested my son use private health cover.
Reluctantly, I asked the clinical nurse whether my son should use the private health cover, to which they forcefully declined and later became blunt and harsh. Their attitude was extremely dismissive and as a result, I was unable to properly articulate my concern to them. My biggest problem with this is that not only has this nurse been extremely rude and unprofessional to me, but because I was sceptical of the advice this nurse has given regarding private health cover and confused when they were hesitant to justify the reason, they gave what I believed was poor information!
