My husband is currently doing the cardiac rehab programme at the Angliss Hospital and I just want to say how thankful we both are that he decided to take part. Apart from the gym and education sessions, which have been extremely beneficial, he has also had the opportunity to ask questions about his health that, unfortunately, he didn't learn from the cardiologist before being discharged from hospital (this was not at the Angliss). Some people might feel extremely concerned and also depressed after a heart event and I really believe that anyone in that situation should take part in the programme to realise they are not alone in this. I made the decision to go to the education sessions which are run immediately after the gym session, and I'm so glad I did as there is a lot to learn with regard to the ongoing health and welfare of the patient and it is fantastic that spouses and partners can attend as we are in this together. Finally, I would like to add that all of the staff involved do a fantastic job.
