"ED and paeds ward care"

About: Box Hill Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

Today I took my unwell toddler to Box Hill ED with asthma. All the nurses were so kind and caring, from the triage nurse right through to the ward nurses. They all went out of their way to keep him happy including stickers and a teddy bear, and letting him sleep when he needed the rest.

Thankfully we are all home safely now!

Thank you for all your care! (again....as this is not our first trip in for asthma)

Dear happyboyhappymum

Thank you so much for sharing your comments regarding your experience you and your child had with asthma recently. You would be experienced in managing your child's asthma and I was pleased to read through your experience that the Eastern Health values of Patients First, Kindness, Respect, Excellence, Agility and Humility were alive and well.

It will give me great pleasure to share your experience with both the emergency department and paediatric ward teams as receiving feedabck such as yours allows the staff to reflect on the impacts they have, especially during these difficult and often stressful times.

I trust your child is recovering well and will soon be back doing all the things they love to do when they're well!

Kind regards

David
