"Inpatient"

About: Maroondah Hospital / Mental Health Adult Inpatient Units (IPU1 and IPU2)

(as the patient),

Treated badly by some of the nurses and sworn at. I felt judged and misunderstood and I also didn't feel like I was listened to. In my opinion the doctors don’t consult you about making any decisions in your own recovery options.

Dear Jasper2018

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in the Mental Health Inpatient Unit at Maroondah Hospital. I'm sorry your experience was not a positive one.

You have raised concerns how you felt judged, misunderstood, not listened to or included in decision making about your recovery.

Should you wish for your experience to be reviewed further, I would encourage you to make contact privately with the Patient Relations Advisors in the Eastern Health Centre for Patient Experience either via email at feedback@easternhealth.org.au or by calling 1800 EASTERN.

I apprecaite you taking the time to share your feedback Jasper2018 and wish you the best of health.

Kind regards

David
