I found the doctor who recently treated me was very rough with a mouth stick when inspecting the area at the back of my mouth where I had a tooth extraction not long before. I felt the stick poke into the wound, I announced to the doctor the pain and they pulled out the stick saying, there is no infection and you have what is called a dry socket. Before examining, I had told the doctor about the pain I was experiencing in and around my face, eye and ear on the left side, the same side as the tooth extraction and that I had been feeling really unwell. I did expect the doctor to check my ear and throat and that didn't happen because after I had been told it was a dry socket the doctor walked out on the visit as if I was being disrespectful. I had said I respected that they were a doctor but I would like further examination and requested antibiotics in case there was an infection that couldn't be seen and gave the reason of an abscess that was in an x-ray previous to the tooth being extracted. I found the doctor to be very rude, aggressive and felt they showed no compassion to my feelings and no respect to my privacy. I felt their behaviour was very bad and would not come the hospital again after this experience.
