"Emergency Review"

A number of weeks ago on a busy Saturday I arrived at your emergency department after a fall with ? both elbows fracture, although I had minimal movement  at that stage,I had pain, but it wasn't too bad.

After x-rays it was confirmed that both elbows were fractured the right being the worse and was discharged with my R) arm placed in a sling for conservative management and follow-up in 7 days.

My concerns about this admission is that I was not seen once by an orthopaedic surgeon at all during this time, although he may have been consulted on treatment, I was assessed by a physio (who was friendly and treated me with respect) and was sent home with no pain relief / let alone asked if I required a script for pain whatsoever and now that it is impossible to buy anything stronger than panadol or ibuprofen over the counter, made for a very painful 3 days, in fact I was in tears with the pain I was experiencing as the swelling increased.

Is this how FSH deals with the 4 hour rule, assessment by physio and then discharged?I think this is poor performance FSH. If you want a physio to do the work of a doctor, at least make sure patients are sent home with the correct pain relief and proper assessment
