About: The Melbourne Clinic

(as the patient),

Melbourne clinic, 2017

My admission by the psychiatrist was done in the hall way. I was on my way to TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and she caught me as I was walking. Briefly talking to me about any improvement that I might have had from ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy). My confidentiality was breached. Also in this admission was discharged without my lithium level and was not advised if I needed to change my dosage. My care planning was solely completed by the nurse with no collaboration. My goals where related to sleep, hygiene and not napping which was never spoken about with me or raised. I napped because of my headache with the TMS. I felt like a second class citizen and the serious indication of a hospital admission in my life was not seen. I work full time and study my masters.
