Over the past 5½ years, my partner has been dealing with chronic osteomyelitis in the bones of his feet, along with another infection that has still be undiagnosed. We have seen over 5 surgeons, infectious disease, countless GP’s as well as nearly every nurse in Sale.

Finally, we were referred to Orthopaedic Surgeon, Mr Ben in Traralgon. Ben was amazing, not only did he assess my partner’s feet but he cared about him as a whole person which we had not seen from any other surgeon previously. My partner had his big toe amputated a few months ago by Ben and his team at Latrobe Regional Hospital. The nurses and registrars at LRH were all fantastic.  At all follow-up appointments once again we felt so welcome especially by Tanya, Ben’s secretary. She always remembered who we were and was always willing to help when needed. Thanks to all involved; after 5½ years my partner will now be able to take his young kids swimming. We can’t thank you enough.
