"Taking my child to ED"

About: Bruce Rock Memorial Health Service / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

We had to present to the Emergency Department with my toddler due to there being no GP in town. My child had suspected conjunctivitis. The RN (registered nurse) working was amazing with my child, especially while trying to do their observations as they weren't very happy about it.

Dear apusct44

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Bruce Rock Health Service.

Taking children to a hospital can be a distressing time for them and also their parents and I was pleased to read that your experience was such a positive one for both yourself and your child.

Our staff strive to ensure patients, especially children feel comfortable and calm as possible whilst being assessed and treated.

I will take great pleasure in passing on your comments to the Health Service Manager and staff at Bruce Rock.

Again thank you for taking the time to comment on Patient Opinion and I hope your child has fully recovered.

Regards

Sean
