Mum was here for two months until we found alternative accommodation. In my opinion there was terrible care standards, staff that hardly spoke English and nobody around when you need them.

I felt the staff is full of bullies and complainers. In my opinion the weekend staff are terrible and it seems there's nobody on duty at night.

Again in my view, I felt the nurses were incompetent. Mum is a diabetic and they made so many mistakes that we lost any confidence in their ability.  Unfortunately, I believe the management are just as bad as their staff. I expect this story will receive more of the same platitudes that previous complaints did.

I read your comments with great concern. Uniting Arrunga Ermington has long had an excellent reputation for care, which is centred on treating our residents with respect and compassion, whilst allowing them and their families’ the greatest amount of control over their daily life.

Whilst I do not recognise the characterisation of our services as you have outlined them, I would very much appreciate the opportunity to hear from you directly, so that I can fully understand the depth of your concerns and investigate further. I would be very keen in particular to investigate the mistakes you allude to in care and medication, as well the general standard of attention your mother received from the staff.

Please rest assured that any information you give, will be listened to, investigated fully and where required, acted upon in order to ensure we continue to meet the high standards we set for ourselves as the leading residential aged care provider in NSW and ACT.
