I recently had a fall and ended up at the ED at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital where I had to stay overnight. I just wanted to say that the care I received was amazing.

All the staff I came in contact with were lovely. I want to pass on my thanks to one staff member in particular – I think her name was Jasmine – who wheeled me down to the X-ray department. Her attention to me was fantastic and she was so lovely to me.

I have been back at home for a bit now and just recently had the occupational therapist Erin out to my house, and she was so helpful and kind.

Now all the hospital needs is some herbal tea and some fruit for breakfast instead of cereal.

Thank you so much for sharing your recent experience of the Emergency Department (ED) at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. I am sorry to hear about your fall and appreciate how daunting it can be having to come into the ED. It was wonderful to hear how supportive and helpful the staff were and how this left you with such positive feelings of our service. I know the staff too, will be thrilled to read your message and I will ensure this is forwarded to them.

Thank you also for your suggestion regarding the herbal tea and fruit – I will make sure this is passed on to our catering service who welcome feedback and suggestions at any time.

I do hope that you have now recovered and thank you once again for your message of thanks.
