"Attending at Occupational Therapy"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital

(as the patient),

During the past three months treatment has been provided to me by Occupational Therapist in the OT area at the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. My OT has provided sound advice and instructions as to how my treatment should be handled and to date the recommended treatment has proven to be beneficial. My OT is a competent person in her role.

The Personal Assistant who makes appointments for my OT does not appear to be confident in her role, as she has says that she has contacted me to make an appointment and no missed calls have shown on my telephones. It is quite distressing to miss an appointment when one has not been advised of the time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the Occupational Therapy (OT) Service at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH). It was very pleasing to read that the advice and instruction you have received over recent months has been beneficial and helped your condition. It was however concerning that the process for making appointments was not of the same quality, and I wish to apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

I will ensure that your feedback is forwarded to the department so they may investigate and rectify any process issues.
