"Outstanding doctor"

My elderly mother was recently admitted to Wonthaggi Hospital after fracturing her hip and being operated on at Traralgon. She could not manage rehab and was transferred to Wonthaggi and developed an infection which was treated promptly with positive results.

My mother wants no more intervention and has no will to live. After speaking to the very caring staff, they arranged her treating doctor, Dr Meghan, to speak to the family. She kindly rang and explained what was happening and amazingly came in on her day off to speak with my sister and myself, explained our options and care for our mother and organised for her to be transferred to Leongatha, where she lives, so she could be close to family.

We are very grateful for her care, compassion and understanding and can’t thank her enough for coming in on her day off to make sure she spoke with us personally and to put mums wishes in place. My sister and I were very impressed and grateful for Meghan’s care and compassion and wish to thank her.
