(as the patient),

I recently had a need to have a hurried day surgery procedure (colonoscopy) at Broome Public Hospital. From start to finish it was as pleasant an experience as was possible under the circumstances, made more so by the nursing staff, Stephanie and Margie, and the surgery team. Very impressed!

Thanks for telling us about your positive experiences when undergoing a colonoscopy at Broome Hospital recently.

60% of our planned procedures in theatre are endoscopies like yours - camera examinations looking down (or up) tubes which go inside people's bodies. In getting to the bottom of the problem (as it were), our theatre team aims to show their patient full respect and preserve personal dignity at all times as, I'm glad to find out, you experienced. (Strangely, not many people choose to tell us about it.)

So I am glad that the warmth and professionalism of our theatre staff like Stephanie and Margie made such a favourable impression on you. Thank you for letting us know.
