This clinic is severely understaffed and overbooked. I just spent 3 1/2 hours there with my toddler for a follow up on their fractured leg.

The doctors we saw were all wonderful and did an amazing job - however it was evident in the waiting room that they are not equipped for the number of people there. 

Whilst we were there I saw quite a number of people complaining about the long wait times - children & elderly included. I felt for the patients having to wait, but also for the poor reception staff for the monumental amount of stress and complaints they had to endure. I would imagine not a pleasant job at all.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share feedback on your experience with the orthopaedic / fracture clinic at Box Hill Hospital.

We acknowledge there is high demand for this service and have been making changes to improve the experience for patients, families and staff. These changes include the addition of a specific clinic at the Angliss Hospital and conducting an education program to support General Practitioners in the management of suitable fractures in their clinic. It is clear more needs to be done and I thank you for your positive comment regarding the efforts of our staff.

I will forward your post onto the leaders for this area so they can continue to drive further improvements that will ultimately result in improved patient, family and staff experience and trust your toddler is recovering well.
