I fell down early one morning and as I was in some pain was taken to the emergency ward at the Box Hill Hospital. Though there were patients ahead of me the staff at the front desk diagnosed me very quickly and sent me for an x-ray. I was given pain killers immediately and once the x-ray confirmed the problem I was treated and sent home. Even at 3 am in the morning all the staff were alert, efficient, kind and friendly. I had actually been concerned visiting what I believe is the crime capital of Australia, but your caring staff at the Box Hill Hospital has shown me that Melbourne is not such a bad place at all!

When I returned to my home city they sent all the medical records to my doctor here. This is fantastic service.

Heading to an Emergency Department is never an easy choice but I was pleased, even in the middle of the night, that staff treated you in accordance with the Eastern Health values of Patients First, Kindness, Respect, Excellence, Agility and Humility.

Having returned home, I’m so pleased information regarding your care and services was available to your GP as this can often be lost when you’re away,

I trust you are recovering well and wish you the best of health and hopefully you’ll be back in Melbourne soon!

Most impressed with Box Hill Hospital and the entire system seems to be well managed and organised. All in all I believe that we are so lucky medically in Australia. Cannot figure the grumblers. They have to realise that medical staff have to treat patients in accordance with their level of emergency. I have spent a lot of time on your website. Thank you.

P.S ... Sorry about my earlier political comment but the crime activity in Melbourne seems to be out of control.
