This story is about my great grandchild. The baby is only very young. We saw three doctors here in Halls Creek - at the Halls Creek Hospital and the Yura Yungi Medical Centre.
My great grandchild was having trouble breathing and they thought the baby had the flu. Then the doctors said the baby had Bronchitis. The baby's mother found a lump under the baby's chin.
The doctor said they would fly the baby to Broome to find out what was the matter. I went for a walk and came back and they still hadn't called Broome. I had to ask them to ring Broome and then they did.
The baby was taken to Broome, we have been up and down many times. Why couldn't the doctors here in Halls Creek find out what was wrong. I can't see how they couldn't find anything wrong. The doctor at the medical centre thought is was the baby's nose and Bronchitis. It was the mother who found the lump. This is her first baby and she is not experienced with these things.
They told us the baby has now been flown to Perth. Why do we have to go through all these things. We saw three doctors here in Halls Creek at the hospital and the medical centre. The doctors here should know or find out.
I need something done - I want to know what can be done.
