"Griffiths Point Lodge Hostel"

In February 2018 I put Dad into respite care for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I asked him if he would like to stay longer, he agreed. Here we are in October 2018 and my Dad is happy & at home. He has gained weight, loves the people who look after him and most of all I sleep easy at night. It was a very hard decision for me to put Dad into care (Mum is still at home).

I visit 3 times a week, I go at different times of the day and the staff are always busy caring for a resident, they are friendly and kind.  I now love to go and sit with Dad & the other residents and have my lunch because it's such a relaxing environment away from work for a 30 minute lunch break. The staff at GPL (Griffith Point Lodge) are amazing from Rebecca, Rhonda, Michelle, Lea, Juanita, Karen, all kitchen staff  and I'm so sorry I've definitely missed names, the volunteers and everyone involved with the care of my Dad are amazing.  I call the staff my "Angels on Earth". I have so much respect for the staff as they do for my Dad.  It's nice to know that they care, whether it's a big problem or a small one it's always addressed.  Thank you GPL Team - YOU ARE AMAZING.
