"Emergency at Maroondah"

About: Maroondah Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

l was left sitting in Emergency, in lots of pain for over 4 hours. I felt neglected and ignored. There should be better communication and triage management.

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback on your experience when attending the Emergency Department at Maroondah Hospital. I'd like to apologise that we were not able to provide the positive experience for you that we would all like.

I note your comment regarding better communication and triage management and will share this with the Emergency Department Leaders to review and see what can be done to make improvements.

I trust and hope that by now you have received care and treatment for the condition that caused you to go to the Emergency Department in the first instance.
